It is inescapable to see the focus and direction of travel of our national rural assets through the spread of articles within our new magazine. Climate change, the aftermath of COVID and the terrible war in Ukraine drive all within society towards climate change stability and, if possible, reversal. Energy and food security are now overriding factors in all decision making whether that be at the macro political or the on-farm annual planning level.

Amidst all the turmoil of the past 12 months, the rural economy has fared well. There is a lot of ambition and confidence out there and we must all do what we can to ensure rural Scotland plays a very positive role in delivering a sustainable and secure future for all.

I hope you enjoy the read and please do reach out to us if we can help you in any way.
