Bidwells, the largest property consultancy in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, has come in 9th place in the Planning Consultancy Market Report 2023’s top 10 fastest-growing firms of the year.

The company has also jumped 5 places as the largest employer of chartered town planners nationally, now at position 17 instead of 22 in the previous year.

Bidwells has also moved up one position to the 14th-highest-earning consultancy and has been featured in the top 10 for fee income in greenfield housing, commercial/industrial, retail, leisure, education, health, heritage, and environmental enhancement sectors.

Despite key sectors of planning work taking a hit in 2022 due to the Mini-Budget and its resulting hike in interest rates, the findings in this latest market report are an indicator that the market is stabilising and strengthening for 2024.

For Bidwells, the report is a notion of credibility and a positive reflection on the integration of the Turnberry Planning merger in May 2022 to increase the company’s growth in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.

Mike Derbyshire, Head of Planning at Bidwells said:

"This recognition is a testament to the expertise and dedication of our team. Being consecutively recognised year on year reaffirms our commitment to delivering exceptional value and we look forward to continued growth and success at Bidwells.”

Bidwells has long been committed to driving growth and progress in the UK real estate market, particularly across the country’s ever-evolving sustainability and science and technology sectors.
