Kate FitzGerald

From being awarded Lantra Forestry Apprentice of the Year in 2011, Kate has built a reputation for her expert practical knowledge of forestry management from plantation establishment and infrastructure to eventual harvesting. Working with managers, contractors, developers and landowners, she enjoys the variety of her role.

With experience at ground level, Kate is highly regarded for her ability to get the job done and thrives on the challenges the sector presents. With an interest in the commercial aspect of bringing raw material to market, she understands the many external influences.

Her expertise has also been invaluable when working with renewables developers to bring major projects to fruition. In these time-pressured environments, Kate has risen to the challenge and enjoys the task of designing a complementary forest plan from inception to eventual harvest.

Out of the home-grown forest environment, Kate has spent time in the Czech Republic studying its forestry sector and has been called upon to present at Holyrood. A chartered forester with 14 years’ experience, she provides strategic forestry advice for some of our largest clients
